This is MIND over Matters account of our Welsh 3000s traverse on 25/06/11.

The team of Allan Davies, Lee Davies, and Jamie Evans were dropped off by event co-ordinator Sharon Bevans at Bwlch y Ddaefaen car park at midnight.

We walked up to Foel Fras, when unfortunately Jamie Evans had to return to the start with ill health ( later found out to be shingles).

Myself and Lee Davies proceeded to continue in atrocious conditions on a compass bearing to summit every Carneddau peak, and drop from Pen yr Ole Wen's north ridge to Glen Dana cootage at approx 7am.

The Glyder Section was the longest section, due to difficult navigation conditions and more adverse weather, we included Tryfan's north ridge and the ascent of Bristly ridge, which was exciting to say the least!

We summited Elidir Fawr , and dropped down to Nant Peris in a total Glyder section of 7.5 hours.

From Nant Peris, we walked up to Peny pass, and walked up the Pyg Track to the Crib Goch junction. Due to the terribly high winds and zero visibility, we did have second thoughts about carrying on, but made one last scary push across Crib Gogh to Crib y Disgyl and triumpantly onto to a windswept Snowdon summit at 8.45pm!!

The Snowdon section took us 2 hours 45 mins.

Total walking time Foel Fras to Snowdon - 14 hours and 45 minutes.

Total walking time - Bwlch y Ddaefaen- Peny pass carpark ( after summiting Snowdon )- 19 hours 15 minutes.
